Starting a Project allows you to add additional website data directly from other sources including Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Before you begin, ensure you have your GA4 account set up on Google Analytics. If not, create a new GA4 property or migrate your existing Universal Analytics property to GA4. Once your GA4 account is ready, kindly follow these steps:
Warning: Before connecting your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) account, please note that Google will stop processing data in Universal Analytics (UA) from July 1st, 2023, and WooRank will deprecate UA connections and related reports from August 1st, 2023. Consequently, once you transition to GA4, if you had UA connected previously, data in the Assistant will only reflect GA4's data, and reverting to UA will not be possible.
Step 1
In the Optimize tab, please select the project you want to connect your GA4 account.
Step 2
Once you are in the selected project, please navigate to “Project Settings”.
Step 3
Within Account Integrations, please click the “Connect” button in Google Analytics 4’s section.
Reminder: Please note that Google will stop processing data in Universal Analytics (UA) from July 1st, 2023, and WooRank will deprecate UA connections and related reports from August 1st, 2023. Consequently, for any project that has not previously been connected to Google Analytics, only the Google Analytics 4 integration will be available.
Step 4
Please select the Google Analytics account for the website associated with current project
Step 5
Please click on the “Allow” button to grant WooRank permission to sync your data from the account.
Step 6
Please select the property associated with the website you would like to track and then click the “Save” button.
Step 7
You should now see a message to confirm the successful connection.
And that's it! You have successfully set up GA4 in WooRank. With this simple setup process, you are now ready to dive into the new features and reports that GA4 brings to WooRank.
